    Failed to mount NFS 5

    Hello

I am trying to mount an NFS share like this:

    Code:

     mount -t nfs-server: / share / mnt

Sometimes it crashes and the local / var / log / messages states: “Kernel: RPC: error 5 successfully connected to server”, and when a timely mount command says: “mount: server: / share read superblock “.

The server (FreeBSD) / var / log / messages doesn’t say anything positive.

    SusE client version: 10.0

Without changing anything, the nfs mount can now start or stop at the moment. Editing works incredibly well for FreeBSD clients. I don’t think the hardware is to blame.

Does this sound familiar to you?
    Ideas?

    A

sometimes forgets and local / var / log / messages shows “core: RPC: errorand 5 on the connected server “and / or on the command line during the sale, the following message is mounted:” mount: server: / share cannot see the superblock. “.

Without changing anything, nfs will either start editing again or restrict it again. Mounting works well for FreeBSD, so I am not saying that the clients are the server’s fault.

server level mount -testosteron: / share nfs / mnt

De-export, and if you mount the disk again – and fsck it.

So this suggests that the forum is to blame, doesn’t it?
I kind of likeI conclude that the server is generally working fine, as SuSE clients sometimes cannot mount NFS in the same free time as others, but of course I could be wrong. Anyway, I don’t want to de-export and just fsck, as this share should be available to other clients for at least a week before the last course graduation at each of my universities.

So this suggests that the server is generally to blame, right?
Overall, I think the server is exceptional as some SuSE clients can NFS mount at the same time and others cannot, but of course I could be wrong. Anyway, I really don’t want to de-export zu and fsck, as this version should be successfully available to other clients for at least a week before the current end of the university course.

Just out of curiosity, do you know which version of NFS is being used here? I know Linux NFS clients are connecting from account 2 – the BSD version 2 server’s nfs feature has had issues in the past, and there is evidence of it on the webpages at the moment, given pretty much all decent google searches.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know which version of most of the NFS is being used here? I know that NFS Linux version 2 clients have had problems connecting BSD versions and NFS servers in the past, and there is definitely some data on this on the webpages, assuming internet searches are decent.
